It’s Come To This: CNN’s Jake Tapper Dedicated An Entire Segment Of Air Time To The President’s, Well….
Folks, I am old enough, as many of you reading this likely are as well to remember a time when you could actually get something resembling proper news from CNN.
Perhaps it may be memories that come from my youth that are clouding my judgement at the present moment but during the first Gulf War in 1991 that there were enough people in my parents’ circle of friends that my mother would invite folks that did not have cable at the time to come over for a few hours in the evening to watch the coverage of events that were unfolding.
It used to be someone that you could go to to find a reasonable accounting of things.
Then, over the years, CNN followed the same path that most programming of its kind began to follow where they went from being something that could be relied on for information to being akin to the town drunk that spewed lies and depended on the ultra offensive to get attention.
CNN aired a segment about Stormy Daniels’ new book that described what Donald Trump’s genitals looks like on The Lead with Jake Tapper Tuesday.
“Lots of books claim to be tell-alls, but they don’t follow through. Stormy Daniels’ new book about her life is not that book. Wow. She tells all,” Jake Tapper said to introduce the segment.
“From the details of her career in porn to, yes, being in bed with the future president of the United States, and even being able to pick certain parts of him out of a lineup–then being threatened to shut up about it. All these accounts are in there. CNN has an early copy,” Tapper added.
Sara Sidner, a CNN correspondent, described a section of the book where Daniels writes about her alleged sexual encounter with Trump in 2006.
Sidner said: When Daniels came out of the bathroom, she claims Trump was lying on the bed in his underwear. They had sex. She then describes his genitalia in great detail. “His penis is distinctive in a certain way,” she writes. Proof, her attorney Michael Avenatti says, she is tired of being called a liar by Trump’s people.

“Journalism” like this coming from CNN may be why they’re having trouble attracting viewers lately.
During the September 3rd-9th week, the network dropped 41 percent in daytime ratings and 36 percent in prime time ratings compared to the same week last year.
